Hi! I am AH-N!CE and I welcome you to my little Djane story. I was born and raised in Madrid (Spain) and I am currently 24. It was in my early 18´s when I first attended a techno party in Fabrik (Madrid). To be honest, that was definitely a turning point in my life. As I am Spanish, I used to go out partying to “Reggaeton parties”. My first techno party was just... crazy! It was a whole different vibe, not any more about sexualization… I loved the energy, the atmosphere and the music, I just could feel that was something for me.
At the age of 21, I started a new life in Hamburg (Germany) and met the right people from the scene. I always thought about deejaying as something not affordable for me, I kept saying it would be a dream to become a Djane but never really took it seriously. After a year in Hamburg, it turned out that a friend of mine got a Dj controller at his home, and I started to use it “just for fun”. But it soon became a habit, I almost played every time we met. I was just happy that I could learn and I enjoyed my time. But it was months later when some words of another friend really got into my head…He just said: “If you really mean it would be your dream to become a professional Djane, why don´t you give yourself a try? No excuses”. So it gave me the necessary motivation and I forgot about the difficulties of getting all the equipment etc. and just got some cheap Dj controller and headphones. I didn't even have speakers, but I got by with that and started to learn at nights after work.
It was the same friend who showed me how to mix, the one who gave me the chance to get my first Gig at a Rave on last summer 2021. I was really unsure about it and it took me some time to accept, I didn't have a clue of how to prepare a set and never got to mix with a decent player, so I was scared. But well, I dared, and it worked! Many people were there and despite the nerves, it was unique to see the people dancing and enjoying my music. So I kept learning more and more. Since then... I just lost count of how many raves I've played at. Finally, after the last covid lockdown in March 2022, I got to play for the first time in a club... it felt so professional... I was overjoyed! Now, it has become much more… I am playing almost every weekend in a new place! That´s all I can think about! And it is on my list to become a producer so… This is just the beginning! Stay tuned!
