Ellen Allien

As a DJ Ellen Allien has enormous skills and resource, sourcing and collecting music for many years. A techno lover from the start Ellen comfortably blends and weaves a pattern of her own hypnotic Berlin techno, acid, freak jack slammers and classics. Absorbing the space and the energy of the dancers, she creates something mysterious and captivating for the here and now. Extraterrestrial Allien Dance is taking place.

Ellen Allien holds residencies in the clubs Nitsa, Barcelona and Circoloco at DC10, Ibiza and and is a regular in clubs such as Madrid’s Mondo. She runs her already infamous bi-monthly ‘We Are Not Alone’ raves in her beloved and vibrant native town Berlin and hosts her in-store record shop happening under the name Vinylism all over the world. She has channelled her vibrant energy and experience to the big stage at some of the world’s most important festivals, including Awakenings (Netherlands), Coachella (United States), Loveland (Netherlands), Melt! (Germany), Movement (United States), NAME (France) and lots more.

Ellen’s eternally creative mind has led to the production of eight solo albums and an extensive back catalogue of singles, EPs and remix work. In her role as head of BPitch Berlin, and new hypnotic techno label UFO Inc., Ellen channels her ceaseless passion for digging into A&R, seeking out and nurturing new talent while also signing music from established artists and friends. A constant source of new ideas, energy and inspiration Ellen Allien is an artist whose comprehensive knowledge and intuitive approach to music is part of her genetic makeup.
