Nur Jaber

Nur Jaber grew up playing the drums and bass guitar, but as this talented Producer/ DJ made the move to Berlin in 2010, following her strong musical roots, she found herself exploring the house and techno scene of this magical city. Coming from the beautiful yet troubled homeland of Beirut, Lebanon has no doubt affected the way she understands culture and those experiences which shape it. With this as her creative inspiration, her music always has a deeper message and meaning. Spending summers at Boston’s Berklee College of Music allowed her to gain a plethora of valuable experiences and musical knowledge. All this led to her current sound which is geared towards electronic music, in particular music that makes you dance!

It was 2018 when we saw her debut album release (‘If Only – A State of Peace LP’) which diverged from the previous club-focused EPs that were already seen on her OSF label. The album was paired with a remix package featuring some of the artists who have inspired and supported her music. In 2020 she followed up on her label again with a powerful and love infused message for her EP ‘Love is in the Air’ and is working on more music including another Album for 2021.

Nur Jaber has also been a regular at Berghain & played her first 11 hour marathon set at this legendary club, on November 17th 2019. Followed by some excellent club shows & festivals over the years (including Awakenings ADE (Amsterdam) / Soenda (Utrecht) / Voltage Festival (Belgium) / Het Nest (Nijmegen) / Glitch Festival (Malta), Possession (Paris), Immersion (Medellin), as well as her second Boiler Room livestream.

In the future we can surely expect more emotional and energetic productions, coupled with her journey like DJ sets, all of which stem from her diverse musical background. For Nur Jaber expression is limitless, so hold on tight as you venture into her world.
