Sometimes, when we get a demo, the song title and artist involved are so thrilling that they make us hit play with the same urgency that we scramble for Glasto tickets. For those who are already not as excited as we were, we have; "Bad Guy", a song originally recorded by Billie Eilish and easily one of the hippest pop hits of the last decade, and two utter dons of Deep House in Gorge and Markus Homm. On their version, they take Eilish and Finneas Oconnell's alt anthem on a pulsating journey through bubbling basslines and aquatic stabs. They retain the mood of Eilish's original yet add such an injection of groove that we can see this picking up plays from all kinds of DJs, from David Guetta to David Who Does The Local Pub on Sundays. Winner.
