Brazilian duo Solarce Brothers bring plenty of South American heat to a pair of brilliant new tunes on Moon Harbour.
This talented duo blends the old with the new when cooking up their essential grooves. They take cues from their native disco, jazz, funky and soul scenes and work them into their diverse house sounds on labels like Clover Club, Nothing But and NAIMA. Their cultural cuts are always full of feel-good melodies and infectious rhythms and they prove that once more with these two latest new jams.
First up is ‘Prometo’, an irresistibly lively and atmospheric house cut with all the humidity of a trip deep into the jungle. It has tropical percussion, rubbery bass and plenty of wispy synths that bring the deep, pulsating groove alive while a sensuous vocal adds alluring soul up top. The equally stylish ‘Lumana’ is a six-minute sizzler with loose-limbed grooves and underlapping sub-bass that is dubby and warm. A chopped-up vocal fades in and out as the bubbly percussion and trippy synth work keep the groove moving and the dancefloor locked in.
These are two superbly steamy house cuts from South American stars the Solarce Brothers.
