Psychophony

Soma welcome a very special label debut from South American producer Julieta Kopp with the stripped and driving, Psychophony EP. Slowly but surely building her name within the international scene, Julieta's production shows a mature and insightful sound that has been honed to perfection. Packing in a robust 5 tracks to her Soma debut, Julieta works through stripped and hypnotic techno with ease.

'The Things You Can't Touch' sets the tone for the release perfectly with a driving baseline and subtle atmospherics set against effective, metallic synth work. 'Closer To Being Burned' works a darker angle with acid-like synths, twisting and bending throughout as sharp percussive elements drive the rhythm. Title track 'Psychophony' keeps the darker tone but introduces a subtle melodic side that keeps the track on the edge. 'Another Day In The Prison' again utilises more melodic elements combining them perfectly with cinematic style builds in the atmospheres. A special Bandcamp exclusive track closes out the release as 'Out To The Lake, Into The Rain' brings dubbed out synths and creative ethereal vibes to a driving dance floor orientated track.
