German producer Chris Di Perri returns to Moon Harbour for the second time in 2024 with his superb Space Modulation EP.
Di Perri collaborated with Melanie Ribbe on this label in January and has dropped solo heat like his 2022 EP For You Homie. Since then he has continued to innovate and evolve his sound with releases on the likes of Mindshake, elrow Music, and Kittball, all while hiding down his residency at Solar Elektro Sound and playing around Europe.
The rock solid kicks of ‘Space Modulation’ are underpinned by an all-consuming sub bass right from the off. Smart filters play with the tension before layers of claps, shakes and toms all pepper the groove and a fiery Spanish vocal truly ignites the party. Once the wild synths begin to spray about the mix this becomes an unstoppable tech house weapon. ‘PUTV’ is just as large in scale with vast kicks and a prominent bassline rolling over the ‘floor with the force of a tsunami. Twitchy FX, screwy synths and sci-fi details all marble the mix with a macho vocal that finishes it in style.
Chris Di Perri once again proves why he is one of Tech House’s most prominent artists with this arresting new EP.
