Walking On A Dream

Empire of the Sun's "Walking On A Dream" is one of the songs of our generation. It may not have been the band's biggest hit on release, but it has grown into an absolute monster since then.

Kevin McKay's 2019 edit of it has been a dancefloor favourite since he first tested it out at his I Feel Love parties at Mick's Garage (now Colour Factory) in Hackney. Over the last five years, the DJ support for this killer rework has grown exponentially. This support culminated in a final play of the Music On season 2023 by Marco Carola. Clips of this have been shared on social media millions of times. With this amount of groundswell, we asked Simon Ellis back after his stellar performance on "Somebody That I Used To Know", and Kevin has rebuilt a backing with 2024 in mind (while still keeping the magic of that original edit).
