André Butano

André Butano is a producer and DJ, born in Santiago de Chile. The beginnings of his professional life were in the world of gastronomy. His studies of international cuisine led him to work in the most famous restaurants of Santiago. It is during this stage, that in the absence of some DJs to play ambient music at the restaurant, that he dares to enter the world of records and mixes. Butano quickly established himself as a talent in Chile's underground house scene.

He is currently a resident and collaborator at La Feria, the only international club in the country and also owns his own label, 'Cachai Music'. His inspiration comes from artists such as Depeche Mode, New Order, and Kraftwerk. His taste quickly evolved as well as his admiration for local heroes, the national producers Luciano, Ricardo Villalobos and Dandy Jack.

His style is the taste of many since his sets have always been led by tech house sounds and house grooves, supported by strong bass lines, animated percussions, rhythms and organic melodies. The brand that has made him famous has been the use of his own vocals in tracks of his authorship. The tracks of Butano have been published in the most prestigious labels of the scene, such as 8bit, Cadenza, Kling Klong, Circus Recording, Highgrade, Robsoul, Trapez, Resopal, Bla Bla, Mindshake, as well as contemporary labels such as Deeperfect, Relief, NonStop, Roush, Moan, Noexcuse, and Desolat, to name a few.

His tracks are played by some of the best DJs in the circuit like Luciano, Marco Carola, DJ Sneak, MANDY, Paco Osuna, Mathias
Kaden, Dubfire, Nick Curly, Reboot, Richie Hawtin, Karotte, Laurent Garnier, Audiofly, among others. This has led him to share stages with artists such as Carl Cox, Luciano, Ricardo Villalobos, Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed, Pete Tong, Sven Vath, Marco Carola, Paco Osuna, Hernan Cattaneo, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Steve Lawler, DJ Sneak , Michael Mayer, Felix Da HouseCat, Tiga, Stefano Noferini and many more.

His career has also led him to play throughout South America being part of
from some of the main festivals such as Creamfields, Mysteryland and Ultra Festival. As for clubs, their residence at La Feria sets the standard, in addition to
D-Edge (Sao Paulo), Crobar, Pacha, Bahrein and Alsina Palace, Radio Berlin & Vlak (Bogotá), Terraza (Camboriu), Bizarro (Lima), Terraza (Uruguay). Butano also stars in "Vagabundos", an event created by Luciano, where he has participated with him for almost 5 years.

In his European tours, he has played in multiple destinations, starting with the world of Ibiza in Amnesia, Space, Hï Ibiza, Pacha, Ushuaia Destination, Sankeys, Zoo Project, Privilege and parties like Music On, Vagabundos, Luciano & Friends and Ibiza Global Radio. In addition, in Barcelona, he has been present in Off Sonar, CityHall and in the already legendary Club4, invited by the same Paco Osuna. Other clubs that have seen their talent are Macarena, Red58, La Terraza and in Madrid, Fabrik Vagabundos 2017/2018 and Studio 76.

From his visits to Berlin, we can talk about Club Der Visionaire, Chalet, Hoppetosse, Wilde Renate. He has also been at Studio 80, Rootzoo Fest in Amsterdam, Egg London (London), Pratersauna (Vienna), Folklore, La Ruche (Lausanne), Friedas Buxe (Zürich), Mood (Canary Islands) and Greenworld (Tenerife).

Butano continues to grow as a DJ & producer as his great passion for music has empowered him more and more in the electronic scene world.
