Danjo (ITA)

Danjo has been an integral part of the electronic music scene in the Rhine-Neckar region for over 20 years.

Whether as an organizer or as a DJ, he enjoys great popularity in his loyal fan community due to his very own definition of electronic music. Beginning at the tender age of 15, he started to play private parties with driving techno and playful breakbeats. Here he also began to organize his first own events in various locations. At some point, the 2Step&Garage fever spread from the British Isles, which made Danjo famous far beyond the city limits with a permanent institution, the Wednesday Venue in Mannheim's Soho. Another project, both in the Soho Club and in various off-locations, was the Red Kitchen Club event series. Together with three friends, the project lasted three years in Mannheim's nightlife and Danjo's own taste in music developed more and more into the multi-faceted genres of house music. So it was time to start a new project again and together with his DJ colleague Shoebee he started the stereo621 Parties, which became very well known over the next years through the Mannheim club "Das Zimmer". In the course of the years his performances as a DJ increased, and gigs in the whole Rhine-Neckar area, throughout Germany and abroad [Melbourne (Australia), Bangkok / Koh Phangan (Thailand), Agrigento (Italy), Ivano Frankovsk / Chernivtsi / Ternopil (Ukraine)] speak for a lot of experience and the right hand to play the right record at the right time. Of course, he owed this know-how to his 4 years of work for the scene magazine Subculture, where he was responsible for record reviews.

His open way of enjoying the moment with the dancers and making the night something better is always appreciated with frenetic celebrations. With Danjo you always have to be prepared for something extraordinary and for him there is nothing better than to see the moment of surprise reflected in the smiling faces of the celebrating people. Together with his cousin and his wife he found a home base in the 2Raum at the beginning of 2010, which has become one of the first places to go for mature, danceable and high-quality electronic music over the course of two years.

Danjo's last big party project was "Lido 'lectro... House am Fluss" and has been taking place in the summer months at the event location Strandbad Mannheim-Neckarau for more than four years. Furthermore, together with the saxophonist Emtu Live Sax and the percussionist Piere Percussion, he founded the live project "Rauschgold Extra", with which he can already look back on several well-known gigs. Since 2015 he is resident and organizer of the open-air party SchlichtSounds at one of the most relaxed and beautiful lake hotspots of the Rhine-Neckar region. Here he continues to develop his atmospheric sound, which ranges from chilly downtempo beats to spherical deephouse and groovy techhouse. With a mixture of analog vinyl sound, digital beats and your own live tracks you can't put him in a drawer anymore... he has created his own drawer!
